Get a realistic website budget in a minute.
Most website quotes vary wildly because nobody has pinned down the scope. This calculator makes you think through the same things an agency asks, so you arrive at a conversation with a realistic budget and a clear list of what you need.
- Pick the type of site. A business website, a site with a CMS and blog, an online store or a custom web app. This sets the starting range and the number of pages included.
- Set pages and design. Add pages beyond the included number and choose template-based, custom or premium design. Custom design is what most growing businesses need.
- Add features. Tick everything the site must do, like payments, bookings, logins or a WhatsApp integration. Each adds its own range.
- Compare who builds it. Switch between a freelancer, a small studio and a large agency to see how the same scope changes in price.
- Use the range. Take the estimate to any agency and ask for a line-item quote. If you want ours, request a fixed quote and we will scope it properly.
Questions, answered.
How much does a website cost in India?
A basic business website from a small studio usually costs Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,50,000. Online stores typically range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 8,00,000, and custom web apps start around Rs 2,00,000. Freelancers can be cheaper and large agencies more expensive for the same scope.
How accurate is this calculator?
It gives a realistic range, not a quote. The ranges are based on our own published plans and typical market rates. Exact pricing depends on your content, integrations and design, which is why we scope every project before quoting a fixed price.
Why are USD prices so much lower than US agency rates?
The calculator converts Indian studio pricing to dollars at about Rs 95 to $1. Many overseas clients work with Indian studios because senior quality is available at a fraction of US or UK rates.
What are the running costs of a website?
Every site needs a domain, hosting and SSL, which cost a few thousand rupees a year at the small end. Most sites also need maintenance for updates, security and changes, usually 10 to 20 percent of the build cost per year.
Does the estimate include GST?
No. For Indian clients, 18% GST is added to the build cost. International clients are usually invoiced without GST as an export of services, and we confirm the tax treatment in your proposal.
How long does it take to build a website?
A simple business website usually takes one to three weeks, a site with a CMS two to five weeks, an online store three to eight weeks and a web app six weeks or more. Delays most often come from content and feedback, so having those ready speeds things up.
